A light-weight, universal crampon. G10 is designed to meet the classical demands of general mountaineering. It is perfect for ski touring, trekking, or for women and children (where small boots don't require many points underneath them). Grivel G12 NewMatic

A classic 12-point crampon designed for general mountaineering, alpinism, mixed ice and rock climbing, and moderate waterfall routes.

The NewMatic binding system utilises the C-O-M rear bale and lever. The plastic harness system is hinged from two front posts which retain the boot securely even if it has a shallow, worn front welt or overboots are being used. It is a simple and efficient binding, fully adjustable by hand, without tools. The G12 is easily folded for transportation.

    Both front and rear plastic harnesses are hinged from their respective retention posts and may be "opened" to facilitate attachment to the boot, then closed securely once the boot is inside. The single strap closure system is simple.

The G12 featuring CrampOMatic Bindings are quick to put on, these bindings are perfect for plastic mountaineering boots that have a rigid sole and substantial heel and toe welts.

  • Cramp-O-Matic Binding:
    A well known system which relies on a nylon speed lever in the rear and a stainless steel front bale to hold the boot. The stainless steel safety strap, which was invented by Grivel, is permanently mounted on the front bale and prevents total loss of the crampon should it be forced off the boot.
